The Hiring Process for Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network is a very through and possibly a lengthy one.  Your patience and cooperation during this process is appreciated.

  • Applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of application to be eligible for employment.  There is no maximum age limit for employment within the Center.
  • If you are applying for a position that does not require a college degree, you must submit a high school diploma/high school transcript or GED. 
  • All applicants recommended for a position will be vetted through various background checks including but not limited to  a DPS  and/or FBI criminal history check*, Employee Misconduct and Nurses Aid Registry, and the state and federal OIG Exclusions listings, CANRS and driving records check.   • Many positions require a valid Texas driver's license.
  • Once a conditional offer of employment is extended, an applicant will be asked to submit to a pre-employment drug screen at a designated third party site.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered for employment.
  • Positions may be filled when they have been posted for a minimum of five (5) working days
  • Once an application is received, Human Resources then routes the application to the appropriate hiring supervisor.  The hiring supervisor will typically contact the applicant and set up an interview. However, applicants can contact Human Resources at any time to check on the status of an application.
  • Due to the high volume of applicants, not everyone will be selected for an interview and only those selected for an interview will receive a call from the interviewing supervisor or HR.
